Shine Educational Trust
We parents of 3 special children established the school in the year 2003 to give a helping hand for special children. Today the school has grown several folds, holding strength of more than 45 special kids and 10 well educated and trained staff with all sports facilities.
Vision:
We have set up to give special kids the joy of schooling and childhood.
Mission:
To provide moral education, enhance their learning and occupational skills and thus succeed in making them independent members of this society.
Environment:
Shine special school is situated in total area 1.33 acre near kadachanental in pudupatti. It’s our own building with all sporting facilities. It’s situated in pollution free area with pleasant surroundings.
Students with different challenges:
We here take up children with Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Mentally Challenged, Autism, ADHD etc.
Special education:
We here engage special educators to assess and support the children with their needs. They plan as per the requirement of students and use different techniques to teach them. They also train the adult students to write NIOS examination.
Therapy involved:
Here we provide different types of therapy like physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy as per their needs.
Vocational training:
We provide children vocational training to encourage them for self employment. This includes lamination, Xerox, printing linked with computer. We also give floor mat preparation, incense products making, packing of wheat flour and roasted gram, sewing, ornament preparation, block painting, pot painting and paper cover making.
Sports and events:
We train the students for indoor and outdoor games. We encourage children to participate in the events that are organized for special children. We train them for the event and students with lots of interest participate and have won many prizes.
Extracurricular activities:
On every Friday we plan to give extracurricular activities which include dance, storytelling, silambam, gardening, audio visual programme, yoga, block printing, handwriting classes, for a change from routine class programmes.
